How Often Should You Pressure Wash Your Home?

There's no single answer, but a few surfaces have a pretty reliable rhythm.

Siding usually benefits from a cleaning once a year, especially on shaded or north-facing walls where algae and mildew build up fastest. Homes near trees or with a lot of shade may need it more often.

Driveways and concrete can often go 1–2 years between cleanings, though a driveway that sees a lot of tire traffic, oil drips, or winter road salt will show grime faster.

Decks depend heavily on the wood and finish — a deck that's stained or sealed can often go a full season, while bare or older wood tends to green up faster and benefits from more frequent attention.

The easiest rule of thumb: if you can see streaking, green or black buildup, or the surface just looks dull compared to when it was new, it's time.
